FREE Prescription Savings Card

Did you get a FREE prescription savings card in the mail? You were not the only one! If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is (that is the old saying anyhow)

Here are some things they DON”T tell you about the card:

1) You cannot use it do discount your already discounted copay or prescription.

2) By using the card, you are sharing your personal information that can be used according to the privacy policy: “we may share your information with other companies whose products and services may be of interest to you.” And further, “We may share your information with our other businesses and affiliated companies,” and “we may combine the information that we collect from you with information that you provide to us in connection with your use of our other products, services and websites, or information we collect from third parties.”

3) The company your information was submitted to for your HUGE savings, now knows what your medical conditions are.

4) Your favorite pharmacy is already giving you a discount, and not providing you with all those clauses (PS We are your favorite pharmacy  )

5) When you use those “discount” or prescription savings cards, your pharmacy is sending the company who distributed them a fee, sometimes as much as $10. Great way to fund raise huh? Why didn’t I think of that!

Some of our population, including our elderly, decide they don’t need prescription drug coverage anymore, because this FREE card is going to save them up to 75% their medications! (reality, it is more like 16%, studies show). This is NOT an insurance. Please be sure to discuss this with those you love who may get mislead.

Before you use or sign up for ANY of these programs – ASK US!

Reality, you will save on prescriptions if you have NO insurance by using these cards at a large or chain pharmacy. As a community pharmacy, we will save you even more, without jeopardizing your privacy.

I think I may have to make a video. These cards drive me insane. They certainly mislead many, and have false claims. * Bridgett
